ST. PETERSBURG —The 17-year-old girl who was stabbed by her 33-year-old boyfriend Sunday morning remains in critical but stable condition, according to police.
Kaylin Davis lived with her boyfriend at 1418 28th St. N at the time of the incident. Her boyfriend, Charles Alvaris Dawson, was also admitted to a local hospital after he turned the knife on himself and was later hit with a stun gun by police.
According to police, officers responded to a call about a stabbing around 1 a.m. Sunday and found Davis in an alley behind Dawson's home with wounds to her neck and upper body.
Dawson was found inside his bedroom with a 10-inch kitchen knife, which he had used to stab himself several times on his upper body.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
