BRIDGEPORT -- A deaf Fairfield man pleaded guilty Tuesday to sexually assaulting his deaf daughter.
The 48-year-old defendant, whose name is not being disclosed by the Connecticut Post to protect the victim's identity, stood between two sign-language interpreters and pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree sexual assault before Superior Court Judge Robert Devlin Jr.
The defendant faces 10 years in prison when he is sentenced on May 11.
According to Senior Assistant State's Attorney Cornelius Kelly, on April 28, 2011, the girl, now 13, complained to her school social worker that her father hadbeen sexually assaulting her since she was 6.
