S.F. woman attacked with meat cleaver

Gaines, 51, picked up a meat cleaver and began slashing at the woman’s head and upper body, police said.

The woman, a 54-year-old San Francisco resident, was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with lacerations on her face. She is expected to survive.
