FUKUOKA — Police on Saturday arrested two women for unauthorized disposal of a corpse after a body was found buried under the floor of their home in Kitakyushu. The women, who have been named as 59-year-old Kumiko Yoshimura and her daughter Maiko Hayashi, 35, were arrested for allegedly burying the body under their house in late September, Fuji TV reported. Police say that although the body has not yet been identified, they believe it may be that of Yoshimura’s daughter-in-law, whose current whereabouts is unknown. An investigation into the cause of death is currently underway.
