A 2-year-old Chicago girl was mauled to death by her grandfather's dog after he left her alone with the animal.
Jah’niyah White died at the hospital from a head wound the dog gave her on Saturday.
Jah'niyah's mother left the child in her father's care at his home on the city's South Side while she was at work.
The medical examiner ruled the girl's death a homicide and found that she had died as a result of neglect.
