MALLORCA - THE confessed killer of Bolivian woman, Maria Elena Salcedo has told police that he accidentally killed her during an argument at a Palmaapartment. The alleged killer, an Ecuadorian builder, aged 43, told how he dismembered her body using his work tools and disposed of them along a wide bushy area by the roadside.
At the time of going to print, the police had recovered the torso, two legs and the left arm, as well as remains from the right, in the proximity to Urbanizacion el Paraiso, in Sa Rapita, near Es Trenc.
Three others who were said to be present in the apartment at the time of the killing were also taken in for questioning and later released with charges of failing to report the crime and possibly assisting in the cover up of the crime.
Provincial Police chief, Antoni Ceda, revealed during a press conference that the alleged killer has already warned that he won’t be able to find the head of the 53-year-old victim, as he disposed of it in a refuse container to prevent the cause of death being known.
For legal reasons, if investigators fail to locate the head the accused will only be able to be charged with manslaughter and not murder.
