BOGOTA, Colombia (AP) — Colombia's military says six of its soldiers have been killed in an attack that it blames on the country's main rebel movement, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia.
The commander for the region where Saturday's incident occurred says the soldiers were killed by explosives.
Gen. Hernan Giraldo tells reporters that return fire by troops killed three guerrillas and wounded two.
