'Most beautiful wife and mother', 35, dies after clips are left inside her during keyhole surgery

A mother died after a blundering surgeon left equipment inside her during a minor operation, it emerged today.

Nicole Haynes, 35, died after clips were not removed from her abdomen following keyhole surgery at Eastbourne District General Hospital.

Since her death last month, the surgeon, who has not been named, is no longer operating but has has not been officially suspended. An investigation has also been launched.
