Neighbour burgled dead woman's house hours after he was asked to identify her body

A sick next-door neighbour who looted a dead woman’s home just hours after he was asked to identify her body was jailed for 15 months today.

Callous Aaron Butler, 23, stole a flat-screen TV after he and an accomplice returned to 68-year old Ann Backhouse’s property to search it for valuables.

Just four hours earlier Butler, a long-term neighbour of Ann’s, had agreed to confirm the identity of her body after she was found dead by window cleaners at her £90,000 property where she lived alone in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria.
