Phone goes silent after woman tells 911 man shot; two dead, one charged

Jennifer Guinn used her cell phone to call 911, saying her friend had just been shot. But then the dispatcher heard gunshots, and the woman went silent.

Valparaiso police officers arrived within four minutes of the 2:13 a.m. Saturday call, and found Julius Garza in a green Lincoln Navigator outside a house.

Garza stepped out of the SUV and said two people inside the house had been shot, and officers found Jeffrey Trinka, 40, of Valparaiso, dead just inside the front door, authorities said.
