Former junior tennis star charged in gruesome death of his baby son's mother found strangled at home

A former American tennis star has been charged in the murder of his two-month-old son's mother found strangled in his father's home.

Benson Harrison O'Brien III, 35, once a top-ranked tennis player in Louisiana, turned himself in to police on the afternoon of his girlfriend's death, on unrelated warrants for theft.

Police say 31-year-old Bridgette Harveston, the mother of O'Brien's newborn son, Liam Patrick O'Brien, was found strangled in the home on Pat O'Brien Road in Covington hours earlier.
