Man 'kills flatmate and jumps from window'

A German man apparently stabbed his 21-year-old flatmate to death before attempting suicide in Berlin Friday morning. He is still critically injured.

"After investigating the flat, officers came upon a woman killed by several stab wounds," a police spokesman told the Bild newspaper.

"The perpetrator and victim were not apparently romantically involved," the spokesman said.
