HIV-positive church pastor, 42, arrested for 'trying to have sex with 15-year-old boy'

A police sting has led to the arrest of an HIV-positive church youth pastor who allegedly attempted to meet up with a 15-year-old boy for sex. Under the username ‘collegetoy2033’, Kris Gowdy befriended an undercover investigator on a social media site and agreed to meet him for sex, say Canadian authorities. The 42-year-old pastor then showed up at the presumed 15-year-old’s Ontario home last Thursday where he was arrested and charged with luring a child via a computer and aggravated sexual assault. Gowdy, from Newcastle, Ontario, is a youth pastor with the Free Methodist Church – a police release states that the ‘luring incident’ is not connected to the church in any way. Police spokeswoman Sgt Nancy Van Rooy said that the suspect was ‘all over chat rooms and social media.’
