Canadian border agent fighting for her life after being shot in the neck as gunman kills himself

A Canadian boarder agent is struggling for her life after being shot in the neck at the Peace Arch Border Crossing. Canadian authorities are reeling from the assault, which they say is the first time in memory that a Canadian Border Services Agency guard has been shot on duty.

Her assailant, an unidentified man driving into Canada from Washington in a newer-model white Ford Econovan, shot himself in the head and died at the scene.
