The Supreme Court has heard that a Perth man told police he disposed of his mother's body after leaving her for a week with her wrists slashed in a running shower. Brent Mack, 27, is on trial accused of murdering his mother Ah Bee Mack, 56, who was last seen alive in September 2008. Her body has never been found. Prosecutors say Mack murdered her at the family's Mount Hawthorn home and then he fraudulently gained access to her money. The court also heard the son lied to relatives that his mother was still alive and living with another man. Mack told them she had moved out of the family's home and was living in another suburb. He also told the relatives his mother no longer wanted to see them. The court has heard that earlier this year, Mack told police his mother died after he found her in the shower with her wrists slashed. He then left her there with the tap running for a week. Mack claimed he then disposed of her body at Lake Gwelup but a search of the area failed to find any trace of her.
