TOKYO — Police said Wednesday they are looking for a man who stabbed a woman on a street in Tokyo’s Shibuya Ward. According to police, a woman was heard screaming near Minami-Shinjuku Station on the Odakyu line at around 11:20 p.m. Tuesday. A bystander contacted emergency services to report that a woman had been injured and was seeking assistance. The caller told the emergency operator that the victim was lying in a pool of blood, screaming for help after having been stabbed, TBS reported. Police arrived at the scene to find the woman in a nearby residence, where she had gone to seek help. The woman had been stabbed five times in the side of the abdomen and the arm. Police say that the victim was taken to hospital and is a stable condition. She told police she did not know her attacker, TBS reported.
