HIROSHIMA — A 17-year-old boy turned himself in to Hiroshima police on Wednesday morning, saying that he murdered his grandparents. The youth, currently in the second grade of high school, presented himself to a police station in the city’s Asakita Ward just after midnight, TBS reported. Police said that he confessed to the murder of his 74-year-old grandfather and 73-year-old grandmother, with whom he lived. Police went to the residence and found the couple dead of stab wounds from what appeared to be a kitchen knife. According to police, the alleged murder took place at around 10 p.m. Tuesday. Police quoted the youth as saying he got mad at his grandparents because they kept scolding him for not going to school, TBS reported.
