Attacker rams woman's car off a Bronx highway, then repeatedly stabs her to death inside crumpled vehicle, cops say

A brutal attacker rammed a woman’s SUV off a Bronx highway and then repeatedly stabbed her to death inside the crumpled vehicle Wednesday, police said. The man, driving a lime green outer borough taxi, side-swiped the woman's car, a Honda Pilot SUV, as both drove on the northbound entrance of the New England Thruway from the Pelham Parkway shortly before 4 a.m., cops said. The impact sent the woman's vehicle hurling over a concrete barrier. It landed on its side on a bike path that runs along the highway, police said. The man then got out of his car and stabbed the woman repeatedly, police said. The woman died in her vehicle and her alleged attacker stayed at the scene of the gruesome crime, cops said. He was taken into custody and charges were pending early Wednesday. It was not immediately clear how the attacker and the victim knew each other, but sources said they likely have a relationship of some kind.
