6-Year-Old Girl Fatally Shot, Father Wounded in Moreno Valley

MORENO VALLEY, Calif. (KTLA) — Homicide detectives had no leads on Sunday in the shooting death of a 6-year-old girl in Moreno Valley, authorities said. The victim, identified as Tiana Ricks of Victorville, and her 26-year-old father were hit by gunfire Saturday around 9:45 p.m. while in the garage of a home in the 25000 block of Harker Lane. Several men walked up to the house and began firing randomly, according to witnesses who were at the residence for a party. The girl was taken to Riverside County Regional Medical Center, where she later died from her injuries.
