KYOTO —
Police in Kameoka, Kyoto Prefecture, said Monday that a woman was stabbed to death in a public park.
According to police, the woman, who has been named as 32-year-old Eiko Yamada, was captured by a CCTV camera leaving the Oiwake optician where she worked at around 7:30 p.m on Saturday. TBS reported that the same evening, she was found shortly before 9 p.m. nearby in a public park, bleeding from stab wounds to her neck.
Investigators say the murder weapon has not yet been found and that an autopsy has revealed Yamada died of hypovolemic shock.
