'I strangled the baby and watched him die': Mother, 25, admits to dumping murdered newborn son found in Texas recycling plant just before Christmas

A Texas woman arrested Tuesday admitted to strangling to death her newborn son, putting his body in a duffel bag and tossing it in a dumpster December 23. Nidia Alvarado went willingly with police and according to an arrest affidavit told them she 'strangled the baby and watched him die' shortly after giving birth at a hospital under an assumed name. When asked why she killed the child, whose body was found on a recycling plant conveyer belt, Alvarado answered in Spanish: 'Threats.'
