Christopher Charles Harris, 39, of Woodhaven Drive, was charged with 44 counts each of taking indecent liberties with a minor and first-degree sex offense, 12 counts of statutory rape/sex offense, 20 counts of first-degree rape and one count each of second-degree rape and second-degree sexual offense. He was jailed in lieu of a $200,000 bond.
Recently, a report was filed with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding a young girl who had been sexually assaulted on a number of occasions, beginning in 1998 and ending in 2009, according to the sheriff’s office.
