According to police, Yamaguchi returned home to find his wife lying on the floor in the restroom doorway, unconscious and not breathing. She was taken to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police say marks on her neck suggested she had been strangled with some kind of cord, TBS reported. They added that one of the first floor windows had been smashed, but that no other traces had been found.
