A gunman shot and killed two men and a woman at their home and also died after someone returned fire, authorities said.
Two of the victims were described as shamans - spiritual elders - in the Hmong community. A fifth person was wounded and in critical condition after the attack on Saturday night.
Police were searching for a motive after an assailant entered the home in Sacramento, California.
