A semi-trailer and two cars collided on the Great Western Highway soon after 1:30pm AEDT at Glanmire, east of Bathurst. All three people in the first car died at the scene, along with a passenger in the second car. Emergency services worked through the afternoon to get the second car's driver, a 38-year-old man, out of the vehicle. He has now been freed and flown to Sydney's Westmead Hospital with serious head injuries.
