Thomas Tefft and his wife Laura were enjoying a cup of coffee together in their modest Indianapolis home Friday morning when the unthinkable happened.
A lone gunman, wearing a black ski mask, burst into their ranch-style home. A panicked Mrs Tefft, 68, barricaded herself in a closet, but Mr Tefft, 67, was killed in the burglary.
The shooting suspect, a man in his 20s, stole the retired glazier’s 2009 Hyundai Sonata and remains at large.
