Woman stabbed to death on West Side

A woman is in custody for allegedly stabbing another woman to death during a domestic dispute in the Austin neighborhood early Friday. Shounya Burnett, 45, was arguing with another woman about 12:55 a.m. in a first-floor apartment in the 1100 block of North Mayfield Avenue when she was stabbed in the neck and chin with a knife, police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said. Burnett, of the 4500 block of West Grenshaw Street, was dead at the scene, the medical examiner’s office said.
