Racist slaughtered partner and daughter but spared youngest child because she was 'pure Aryan'

A racist who 'slaughtered' his partner and eight-year-old daughter but spared his 'pure Aryan' youngest child has been jailed for life. Cannabis abuser John Miller, 38, left his partner, deputy headteacher Sarah Laycock, 31, and their eight-year-old daughter Abigail with fatal injuries at their home in Garforth, Leeds after a brutal and frenzied attack. His four-year-old 'pure Aryan' daughter Amelia was spared, and left for at least 12 hours alone in a house with the bodies of her mother and sister after her 'jealous and controlling' father killed them in the 'appalling' axe and knife attack.

Leeds Crown Court heard how the child was in the house as Miller carried out the murders during a psychotic episode after 'voices in his computer' told him to do so. She was found by police officers, cowering upstairs with the family dog. The court heard that the youngster has been left so terrified of her father she now asks relatives 'what is the size of the padlock on daddy’s door?' Miller denied murder but admitted manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility. He was given a life sentence today by Mr Justice Coulson, who told him he must serve a minimum of 15 years. He said: 'The trauma she will suffer and continue to suffer in the absence of her mother and sister is of the worst possible kind.'
