Shocked viewers watch as 'robber' is shot dead by cops on LIVE TV after car chase

TV viewers were shocked on Friday when Los Angeles police shot dead a suspect during a car chase, a horrific scene that was broadcast live on television. The incident began early on Friday when a man, who has not been identified, allegedly held up a Saugus Bank of America shortly after 9 a.m. He fled in a Chevy SUV and was chased by police throughout Los Angeles, with the chase being broadcast live by KCAL-TV. But as Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies pursued the suspected bank robber, he began shooting at police and then the sheriff's deputies returned fire. The suspect was killed.
