Police investigating the deaths of four people following a house fire have said they 'are unable to rule out' if the blaze is linked to the murder of a man nearby a few hours earlier.
A mother and her three children are reported to have died early this morning after emergency crews were called to a terraced house in the Spinney Hills area of Leicester at about 12.35am.
Several hours earlier a 20-year-old man was attacked half a mile away from the scene of the fire. He was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary, following the assault at about 5.30pm, where he died.
