At least 30 dead including 13 children after cargo truck crashes into two minivans packed with labourers in northern India

At least 30 people, including 13 children have been killed after a cargo truck crashed into two minivans packed with laborers headed to work early Thursday in northeast India. The 10-wheeler truck is understood to have been travelling on the wrong side of the road about 100 miles west of Gauhati, the capital of Assam state, when it slammed into the oncoming minivans. The vans, which had been carrying workers to a local brick kiln, were smashed into mangled metal and pushed off the road into a roadside ditch.
