Idiocy sparks backward people

Dec. 10, 2009 -- A newborn calf is getting lots of attention for an unusual marking on its forehead: a distinctive white cross. Owner Brad Davis says he thinks the marking must be a message from above. The brown calf was born last week on Davis' dairy farm in Sterling, Conn., and neighborhood children have fondly named the newborn Moses.

This is not the first time an animal with striking religious markings has made headlines. In 2002, a lamb was born in a small Uzbekistan village with a white pattern on its black fleece resembling the Arabic words for Allah on one side and Mohammed on the other. The family who owned it called the lamb a miracle.
