OAKFIELD -- A 21-year-old man was killed just before noon Thursday driving his motorcycle away from the funeral of an acquaintance killed Saturday in a Genesee County triple-fatal accident, the Genesee County Sheriff's Office reported.

Deputies say Justin M. Dickes, of Broadway Street in Oakfield, was speeding eastbound on Judge Road shortly before noon when he attempted to pass a van as it turned left into a private driveway.

Dickes smashed into the driver's side of the van and was thrown from his bike.

Dickes was coming from the funeral of Joshua K. Durham, who was the driver in a single-car crash that also killed two passengers Saturday.

He was rushed to United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, where he was pronounced dead.

The van's driver, Edward J. Shultz, of Elba, was not injured.

The Sheriff's Office's crash management team is investigating the accident. The Oakfield Volunteer Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
