Originally made as a pilot for a US TV series co-production between Hammer Films and Screen Gems, this was later broadcast as part of a number of other anthology series. It stars Anton Diffring as Baron Frankenstein.
The film uses a lot of recognisable stock footage from classic Universal films, like Dracula's brides and the narrator from the Inner Sanctum movies.
