British woman, 51, plunges to her death in Spain during romantic hill walk with husband

A British woman has plunged to her death in front of her husband as the couple enjoyed a romantic hill walk in Spain.

Estate agent Daniella Starritt, 51, survived the fall but was dead by the time rescuers reached her - nearly two hours after her husband had called the emergency services.

She had been conscious and complaining of pain in one of her legs when a police helicopter and rescue team were mobilised yesterday afternoon at around 2.30pm.
