”We don't know if he was crossing (the highway) or it was intentional or what,” Powell said, adding that the man stepped directly into the path of an oncoming pickup truck. “He came out right in front of the truck, from what we heard from witnesses.”
Powell said that after being struck by the truck, the man's body was hit by an unknown number of cars.
”At least three vehicles struck him,” Powell said, adding that three drivers stopped at the scene to report having hit the man.
Powell said the man appears to have been a panhandler of some sort, as a cardboard sign reading, “Anything Helps Have A Nice Day,” was found at the scene.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
