Murderer laughs after sentence given

Two armed robbers who killed a man in his home have been jailed for at least 20 years.

Edward Rzepnicki, 63, was beaten and stabbed to death in a robbery which went wrong at his home at Woodville in Adelaide, in August 2009.

Rhys Heffernan, 25, and Michael John Stephens, 22, were each found guilty of murder by the South Australian Supreme Court.

Mr Rzepnicki had invited the men into his home for a drink before the fatal attack.

Someone yelled "Suffer, you cockroaches" to the men as they were led from the courtroom.

Heffernan responded with a laugh and Stephens blew a kiss toward the body of the court.
