DULUTH, Ga. -- Duluth police said an argument between a son and his parents escalated to violence Saturday afternoon.
Investigators said a man pulled a gun on his parents, grazing his mother with a bullet and seriously wounding his father. Paramedics rushed the two to Gwinnett Medical Center, where the father later died, according to another son. Police took the son involved into police custody.
The shooting occurred during the noon hour Saturday inside a home in the 3300 block of Enfield Lane near Enfield Way in Duluth.
Family members and neighbors told Channel 2 Action News reporter Tony Thomas that they were unaware of any longstanding problems in the family.
“We never had any problems,” said Carlos Harris, a relative.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
