A Brisbane teenager accused of murdering another boy has been committed to stand trial.
The 14-year-old, who cannot be named, is accused of stabbing 12-year-old Elliott Fletcher at a private school on Brisbane's bayside in February this year.
The boy was critically injured and treated by paramedics at the scene, but died soon after arriving at the Royal Children's Hospital.
His alleged attacker was charged with one count of murder and failed to secure bail shortly after his arrest.
Brisbane Children's Court Magistrate Pam Dowse today ruled there was enough evidence to potentially convict the teenager over the death.
The teenager's three-day committal hearing, which started last week and concluded today, was held in closed court.
The 14-year-old did not make another bail application after being committed and was remanded in custody to appear in the Supreme Court on a date to be fixed.
