Seven people were killed almost instantly and four more badly hurt after a huge articulated truck slammed into the back of a packed minivan last night.
The minivan was carrying 10 passengers when it was along the Indiana Toll Road, near Bristol, just south of the Michigan border, Indiana State Police said.
Eyewitness accounts suggest that it may have hit a deer then slowed of stopped in the east-bound lanes before being hit from behind by the tractor trailer.
