A British man described as living a frugal ‘monk-like life’ hammered his long-term girlfriend to death then turned on his disabled daughter.
William Owen told police it was a ‘pact’ after he battered Sharon Hayter, 55, with ‘severe force,'
He then attacked his 29-year-old daughter Stephanie, who had mild learning and walking difficulties.
Hayter, who worked as a nurse, was discovered naked and covered in blood in an armchair
Stephanie was found face down in a bedroom, wearing just her underwear.
The former security guard, 54, lived a bare existence sleeping on cardboard and consuming only toast, Mars bars and tea at their terraced home in Knowsley, near Liverpool.
After the brutal murders, Owen walked to a police station two miles away and confessed “I’ve killed my wife and daughter.”
