A 15-year-old charged with double murder in the shooting deaths of his father and stepmother in Pineville, North Carolina planned to runaway to Mexico after the killing, prosecutors claim.
Matt Liewald was charged on Monday in the deaths of his father, 43-year-old Christian Hans Liewald, and his 24-year-old stepmother, Cassie Meghan Buckaloo.
On Thursday, a juvenile court heard how the teenager - whose attorney claims he was physically abused - allegedly planned an ambush attack on his father for fear his plan would not succeed otherwise.
