A 56-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was knifed to death on Christmas Day.
The community has been rocked by the discovery of the woman, 56, at an address in Bilborough, Nottingham, just after 3.45pm.
A post mortem revealed she had died from stab wounds, with police launching a murder inquiry.
The man arrested in connection with the incident had suffered non life threatening injuries.
