OTTAWA -- The husband of a elderly woman stabbed to death on Boxing Day was charged with first-degree murder Wednesday and is likely to undergo a mental health assessment.
Ian Flann, 82, appeared in court by teleconference two days after his wife, Doreen Flann, 82, was found dead at Longfields Manor, a Barrhaven retirement home in southwest Ottawa.
