An attempted murder-suicide in a Rhawnhurst parking lot this morning left a young woman in extremely critical condition and a man dead, according to police.
Shortly before 7 a.m., the 29-year-old man shot the 22-year-old woman multiple times outside the Meadowview Apartments in the 8100 block of Algon Avenue, police said.
He then shot himself in the head.
The woman was transported to Aria Health's Torresdale campus.
The man, believed to be her former boyfriend, was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:55 a.m., police said.
Names were not released.
