Police are investigating the cause of a fatal motorcycle crash at Chain Valley Bay on the state’s Central Coast.
Just after 4pm yesterday, a 25-year-old man from Chain Valley Bay was riding his Honda CRF 250F north-west along Tall Timbers Road.
Another motorist has told police they saw the trail bike overtake them and perform a ‘wheelie’ at high speed.
Police from the Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command were told the rider apparently lost control as he lowered the front wheel and the motorbike left the roadway.
The rider was thrown from the motorcycle and struck a power pole, dying instantly. The motorcycle was unregistered and the rider did not hold a motorcycle licence.
Police arrived and diverted traffic around the crash scene.
Investigations into the crash are continuing and a brief will be provided to the Coroner.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
