A man killed his estranged wife, then apparently killed himself near the Florida housing development Sunday night, spokeswoman Shereese Harper said.
Police found the 37-year-old man and 34-year-old woman outside the house on the 2400 block of Independence St. around 6 p.m., Harper said.
The man apparently shot the woman outside the residence, then shot himself. A revolver was lying on the ground next to the man.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was transported to a local hospital, where he later died, Harper said.
Police are withholding the names of the victims because their families have yet to be notified, Harper said.
Further details in the case were still under investigation Sunday night.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
