Porn and money woes push Brooklyn mom over edge, she plunges scissors in husband's chest

A Brooklyn woman plunged a pair of scissors into her husband's chest, killing him during a violent clash over money and a porno flick, police and witnesses said Friday.

Shellyann Henry, 32, was locked in a heated argument with her husband inside their Bushwick home Thursday night. She accused her unemployed husband, Rudolph Henry, of not financially supporting her or the three children they were raising, law enforcement sources said.

The enraged wife also found an X-rated DVD in their Wilson Ave. apartment which tossed fuel on the burning argument, police said. The husband went to the kitchen, grabbed a knife and threatened to cut his wife. Police said she picked up a pair of scissors and stabbed her 44-year-old husband about 9:40 p.m.

Shellyann Henry dropped the bloody scissors and dialed 911. She was screaming about porn when cops arrived, neighbors said.

"She's a great mom, but she lost it," said neighbor Dawn Springs, 26. "She was screaming to police that he [had] porn with their 4-year-old son."

The suspect's three children - ages 14, 4 and 8 months - were inside the third-floor apartment at the time of the murder. None of them were hurt.

Paramedics raced to the scene, but Rudolph Henry couldn't be saved.

Shellyann Henry was charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon. She was waiting to be arraigned in Brooklyn Criminal Court last night, officials said.

Neighbors said the couple fought all the time, but a police spokesman said no domestic violence incidents had been reported to cops.

"My daughter heard fighting, which was standard for that apartment," said Betty Heffernan, 56, who lives below the scene of the crime. "I came out a little while later and saw them bringing out some guy on a stretcher."
