A northern Kentucky man is accused of beating his Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor to death with a baseball bat.
Shain Pierce had returned to his Covington home on September 19 to discover the man he was sponsoring, 47-year-old Leslie Haun and Haun's 19-year-old son Robert, drinking alcohol on the premises.
Mr Pierce, 54, who had returned from a hospital visit, asked the pair to leave before the elder Haun beat him with an aluminum baseball bat and table leg until he died, a police officer told Kenton District Court.
