THORNTON, Colo. - Police in Colorado say a 16-year-old boy died after he was hit by a car then beaten by its occupants.
Thornton police spokesman Matt Barnes says a house party spilled into a street about 1:26 a.m. Monday, when the teenager was struck by the car. Barnes says people in the car began beating the boy and others around him.
The teenager later died from injuries to his head and upper body.
Barnes says police are trying to determine whether a dispute at the party triggered the beating.
The boy's name is being withheld until his relatives are notified.

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
"Being is substance and life; life manifests by movement; movement is perpetuated by equilibrium; equilibrium is therefore the law of immortality.
"The doctrine of equality!... But there exists no more poisonous poison: for it seems to be preached by justice itself, while it is the end of justice.... "Equality for equals, inequality for unequals" that would be the true voice of justice: and, what follows from it, "Never make equal what is unequal."
